The Perpetual Data Box
piqlBox has been designed to enable easy handling, transportation and storage of the piqlFilm. It protects the piqlFilm against any physical damage and the solution, with a bottom plate holding the film, and a top cover protecting it, integrates with use of the piqlWriter and piqlReader. The materials used to produce the piqlBox has been carefully designed, selected and tested to support the lifetime of the piqlFilm and it verified that nothing "leaks out" of the piqlFilm over time that will affect the lifetime and integrity of the film, the authenticity and availability of the data. Even the label on the piqlBox have been designed and tested with the same criteria in mind.

We can seal the piqlBox with an extra layer of impenetrable aluminium wrapping to ensure protection against water, bacteria, virus, fungus and other "unknown" elements that might appear in the future.

What is the piqlBox made of?
The piqlBox is made out of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and thoroughly tested to last for 1000 years plus. It has been specifically designed for the piqlFilm.
What are the dimensions of the box?
Dimensions are 39,5 cm x 39,5 cm x 4,8 cm. You need to add some centimeters in length and width if you choose to seal it with aluminium.
Where is it made?
The piqlBox is made in Norway through our partnership with Plasto AS, an industry leader in polymer
Can it withstand any kind of external threats?
Tested against extreme conditions, piqlBox maintains integrity in the harshest environments. The only real threat to survival is fire, so ensure the storage facility is fire-proof and you are safe.
Can I store it on my own?
Yes, you can safely store a cooy of piqlBox in your own facilities. Keep in a conditions with less than 21°C and less than 50% humidity to maintain the longevity promise.
Can I buy the piqlBox separately?
