piqlReader has been designed to be easily installed and operated by anyone. With its modern and sleek design it can fit well in any environment and allows for full control of the retrieval process from piqlFilm.
The piqlReader is also used for retrieval from piqlFilm through piqlConnect when purchasing data storage on piqlFilm as a service.
Designed by Piql and built in Norway. It can either be purchased separately or as part of a full Piql System.

What components comprise the piqlReader?
Continuous film transport with Linux based control system, 405nm LED-based light source, customised high resolution lens with f/5.7 aperture and MTF of 75% at 82 line pairs per mm, 12k TDI camera capable of capturing up to 200,000 lines/sec or up to 20 Gb/sec image acquisition, 1GB/sec real-time GPU-based image processing/decoding. Built in Windows computer for interaction. Note that the image acquisition is in Gb (Gigabit) and processing/decoding is in GB (Gigabyte)
