An Unique Approach to Digital Preservation

We are doing it differently.

An important part of our value proposition is the fact that the storage solution is self-contained, migration-free and permanent. The self-contained aspect ensures that everything you need to access the data preserved in the future, is contained and described on the piqlFilm, both in human readable (i.e. clear text and images) and computer readable form. To make sure that files can be read/viewed in the future we convert them to an open-source format, since we then can include file format descriptions and the related rendering/viewing programs on the piqlFilm. Combining this with the longevity of the piqlFilm makes the solution migration-free. This is our future-proofing.
